Hey everyone! My name is Lance Mann, and I couldn’t be more honored to be a part of this trip. I am 20 years old and currently attending University of California, Berkeley studying sustainability. When I’m not studying, I’m hanging at the beach with my friends surfing and playing spikeball or enjoying a nice cup of coffee with my family at my favorite cafe. I have always seen Joe and his parents around town, but we didn’t become good friends until last summer when we bonded on a road trip with Jonathan and our friend Sofia in Yellowstone National Park. He has since become one of my best friends and I feel like I have known him and his family my entire life.
I am lucky enough to have seen Joe’s creative process and the formation of this trip firsthand from telling him that making a TikTok account would never work to where we are now. The Wampler’s have worked so hard to make this dream of spreading positivity and optimism for disability a reality and to be a part of this epic campaign means the world to me. I understand the weight of taking their message to the next level and I am totally humbled by it. Of course, driving around with my friends in a RV for a whole summer is special in of itself but the bigger picture and why we are doing this will be represented in the first smile we see on a future camper’s face. I want nothing less than to show America and the world that there is no big disability.
